Wimbldom Common, 8mile cross country- 47.56

Ran quite well, was only about 20m behind hawkins for the first lap (well about 14mins) but then suffered at the beggining and the end of the second lap but got going again on the third lap which ment i was prob about 30-40sec behind hawkins.

Just rn relaxed and tried to keep most of the run under 175, Hr would rise though on the last 50m. Otherwise nothing to report. quite enjoyed this though.

Harder than last weeks run. Was not so icey so could run uphill quite hard which was tiring. Ground was muddy/ snowy which made the legs work that bit harder as well

I think this will be my last long run wilst at home so i am thinking that i will do more of those 7-10mile cross country. Will run them at 160-175hr once the ice starts to melt (running down hill is VERY difficult when there is white ice everywhere).

If i am doing the c/x runs would they burn a lot of sugar so do i just run once that day or is it ok to go for a slow jog in the evening as well?

I think that if you run 7 then you can handle a second. I am really not sure about 10. I think that if you keep the pulse low you could be OK. This is a case of suck it and see. Now is a good time to try new things and test yours. There is nothing at stake - and you are seriously strong chemically too.

Impressive days training today, well done.

I asked Marcus to find someone to show you the stadium in Tampere. If he cant find someone he will do it himself. I will write something nxt week
